About The Livermore Homeless Refuge
The Livermore Homeless Refuge was created to provide a warm, safe, clean environment for individual homeless people to stay overnight. It uses faith based communities as its base to house this segment of our society. These faith-based communities allow us to provide this service to homeless individuals at a minimal cost. It does not segregate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion or lack of religion.
Its current funding comes from individuals, faith based communities and the general public. At this time LHR does not recieve any funding from local, county, state or federal government sources.
This organization does not induce or attempt to induce anyone to a specific religion. Those of us who are believers, demonstrate our love for the God of our understanding, through our actions in helping others. Those of us who are non-believers help others, because we believe it is a good thing to do for our community.
Our only purpose is to reach out to those individuals who can use our help.
